What we do
We are one of the largest and busiest homelessness organisations in the UK, strategically located in Trafalgar Square, close to the highest number of street homeless people in the UK. We are open 21 hours a day, 364 days a year providing a consistent, open door service in which the voice of the client is supported, encouraged and welcomed. Our services have been developed to meet the varied, changing and specific needs of a diverse and dynamic client group of homeless individuals. We strive to be client-led and innovative in our work, and rather than seeing homeless people as a problem to be solved, we see them as individuals with potential. One of our roles is to support them in creating opportunities for them to reach their potential.
Street Outreach
Our outreach team works out on the streets to identify and help people sleeping rough in the City of Westminster. They provide help with immediate needs (food, access to medical care, emergency shelter) and ongoing support to assess and address other needs such as mental health, drug or alcohol problems. The team works with both newly arrived people and long-term entrenched rough sleepers.
