Because of the Covid-19 pandemic, The Connection has had to temporarily close its doors for the first time.
But just because our centre isn’t open as normal doesn’t mean we aren’t still doing everything we can to help London’s homeless.
Our staff have been working around the clock to help rough sleepers into hotel rooms and other accommodation, to help them to self-isolate and to stay safe and well. Across Westminster, over 350 people have been helped into accommodation so far.
We have also been preparing and delivering three meals a day to people, as well as medication and other essential supplies. Our staff are also maintaining regular social contact to provide a sense of community and support, through daily phone calls, weekly newsletters and a dedicated website for clients.
Your support is more vital than ever. This is why we have launched Keep Our Doors Open, our emergency appeal with the St Martin-in-the-Fields. To find out more and to donate, please visit www.stmartin-in-the-fields.org/support-us/donate-now/.
