Tim Jones, Chair

Formerly over 30 years’ experience with Freshfields including as Managing Partner of their London Office. Ambassador for HRH Prince Charles’ Responsible Business in London 2010-2012, Chair, London Steering Group, Business Action on Homelessness 2006-2013, currently Trustee, Safer London Foundation (working with young people on programmes to reduce crime and support crime victims) and Chair, Access Sport (providing sporting opportunities for disadvantaged and disabled young people).

Jill Kyne, Treasurer
Over 30 years’ experience in senior finance roles with King Games, EMI Group and Diageo, now providing financial advice to the charity sector as a volunteer. Former Treasurer of Age UK Croydon.

Catherine Cherry
Catherine built her career in the commercial sector and was Director of Marketing at Sony before moving to the NSPCC in 2016, where she currently works as Head of Fundraising. She also volunteers as a member of the Advisory Board of Pimp My Cause and at MarketingKind.

Chandra McGowan
Originally an occupational therapist working with people with learning disabilities, moved into service planning and then strategic commissioning roles in the NHS and LA Adult Social Services. Transferred into the charity sector in 2010 and has been CEO at Whiteley Homes Trust since 2014.

Simon Rawson
Director of Communications for social impact at McKinsey & Company, a global management consultancy, and McKinsey.org, a non-profit founded by the firm. Co-founded a business-led employment and skills programme for people affected by homelessness with Thames Reach in 2013.

Keith Starling
Works in the Investment Team at Big Society Capital (previously CFO there after joining in 2012). He worked in Investment Management in London for 22 years and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales. He has been a volunteer in charities for over 30 years and is currently a Trustee at The Mayday Trust.

Maeve Walsh
Maeve is a policy and government relations consultant who advises organisations seeking to shape and influence digital, data and health policy. Maeve is a former Senior Civil Servant who spent over 17 years in central government, including 10 Downing Street, Cabinet Office, the Department of Health and the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, where she had a variety of roles advising Ministers, developing policies and co-ordinating major programmes within government and across the health and care sector. 

Peter Warren
Over 25 years’ experience in Financial Services primarily in roles at Goldman Sachs and CQS. Currently Head of Business Development and a member of the Management Committee at Capula Investment Management. Based in London where he has been a school governor for the last 15 yrs.

Revd Dr Samuel Wells
Vicar of SMITF since 2012 and previously held parish appointments in Cambridge, Norwich and Newcastle. He also served for 7 years in North Carolina. He is a trustee or chair of 10 charities and has previously established charities and a development trust.
