This December, we are taking part in a donation matching scheme, The Big Give, in which your donation will be at no extra cost to yourself or us. This is a fantastic opportunity to support even more homeless people – but we need your help to make this successful!
The Big Give Christmas Challenge is the UK’s largest Matched Funding Challenge. In order to take part, we must collect pledges. We have already secured £10,280 in Matched funding from our Big Give Funders; the Helen and Michael Brown Charitable Trust and our online Big Give Pledgers.
But there’s a catch… this funding will only be released to us once we secure the equivalent funds in the week 3-10 December from our online Big Give campaign! Meaning we have a target of £20,560 which we need your help to reach!
This means if you donate through The Big Website between the 3-10 December then your £100 will be worth £200, or your £50 donation will be worth £100 – at no cost to you.
This makes it a fantastically effective way to support our vital work, enabling your donation to go much further.
This year donations will be used to support our emergency accommodation. Last year we increased our bed capacity each night from 45 to 75, we are seeking support from Big Give donors to help fund this increase of bed spaces.
If you need anymore information or have any questions about The Big Give or our services, please get in touch with Adele on firstname.lastname@example.org or 020 7766 5555, or visit The Big Give website.
What difference will you be making?
This year we will be raising valuable funds for our Emergency Accommodation service. In order to help us to deal with increasing rates of homelessness, we have increased our bed capacity from 45 to 75 a night. An individual stay in our emergency accommodation costs us £40, and includes the provision of two hot meals, access to laundry, phone, and internet services, and a warm, safe space to sleep for the evening.
