The Radio 4 Appeal

Sean is one of the many people The Connection helped this year...

For over 90 years BBC Radio 4 listeners have supported the work of The Connection at St Martin’s through the Appeal.

The Appeal supports the work of St Martin-in-the-Fields, and donations are split between The Connection and St Martin’s Charity.

This year has been a particularly difficult one. Throughout 2020, the people that rely on our services have remained at the centre of all our decisions, and ensuring we support them continues to be our number one priority. Because of the generous support of donors to the Appeal, people like Sean and Jenifer were able to find support and a place to call home through the Covid-19 crisis.

This year, our Appeal theme is The Key to Home. As the pandemic leaves many vulnerable and facing huge uncertainty, we are working hard to help people put down deposits, secure safe housing, and find the key to a home of their own. We need your support more than ever before. You can help us in three ways:

• Tune in to our broadcast on the day of the Appeal. The main Appeal will be broadcast on BBC R4 at 7.55am and again at 9.25pm. Making A Difference, which tells the stories of those helped by The Connection, will be broadcast at 9.45am and again at 5.40pm.

• Donate so we can continue our work. You can donate online here or find other ways to donate here.

• Get involved with our community fundraising and have fun with friends and family while raising funds for us. Find out more about Sunday Gatherings here.

Our work is only possible thanks to the generosity of our donors. As ever, we are very grateful for all your support.

Thank you.
