The Pilgrimage returns for the Jubilee long weeekend

People walking along route with sign The Pilgrims Way

For the first time since before the pandemic, a group of ‘pilgrims’ will set out from The Connection at St Martin’s on a four-day walk from London to Canterbury.

After two years when restrictions prevented a full Pilgrimage, we’re delighted to be holding this event over the Jubilee bank holiday from 1-4 June. The journey ends with a service at Canterbury Cathedral.

People taking part in The Pilgrimage come from all over the country to enjoy walking alongside some of the people we work with while raising funds for The Connection. It’s a picturesque walk in Chaucer’s footsteps covering 74 miles of the Pilgrims Way. Over 60 people will be setting off on Wednesday 1 June from London, to enjoy spectacular countryside, good company and the delicious food provided along the way.

Some of our clients will also be joining the Pilgrims this year as they walk, which is a special feature of this challenge and are fundraising in support of The Connection’s work!

So many people contribute to this unique event to make it so memorable including volunteers, drivers, hosts and supporters. as well as our amazing walkers. Thank you from us all at The Connection.
