The Connection x Myra’s Story

Myra's story returns to London's West End

“Fíonna Hewitt-Twamley is extremely impressive” – Irish Times

“A fine display of Irish storytelling” – Everything Theatre

“An outstanding play” – Broadway Baby

Returning to London’s West End and the four-time smash-hit at the Edinburgh Fringe, Myra’s Story is the tour-de-force performance that you’ll never forget.

This incredible story depicts a day in the life of middle-aged, homeless, alcoholic, Myra played by the acclaimed actor Fionna Hewitt-Twamley, sleeping rough on the streets of Dublin. While begging from passers-by at her regular spot by Ha’penny Bridge, Myra recreates her rollercoaster backstory. Playing a cast of larger-than-life Dublin characters Through her “vivid, virtuoso performance” (WhatsOnStage) Hewitt-Twamley plays out all the hilarious, serious, and heartbreaking events in her life that have taken her to this pitiful state. It’s a powerhouse performance with a powerful message.

Hailed as an “outstanding play” and having captivated over 150,000 theatregoers across Ireland, the UK and North America, this remarkable story will make you laugh, cry and above all, ensure you’ll never forget Myra.

Upon Myra’s return to the West End, we’re really pleased to be partnering with the production again. In 2023, this partnership raised over £7,000 to support people sleeping rough to find a way off London’s street, and we’re hoping to raise even more this time.
