Pilgrimage 2026 to Canterbury is an annual event held over the late May bank holiday weekend – 22nd to 25th May 2026.
We will walk the 74-mile route from Trafalgar Square to Canterbury, leaving on Friday morning from St Martin-in-the-Fields and arriving at Canterbury on Monday afternoon. Walking in Chaucer’s footsteps you’ll get to meet a wonderful and diverse group of The Connection’s supporters, some homeless, most not, but all enjoying the lively company, the spectacular countryside and the delicious food we have along the way!

Last year, the Pilgrimage raised over £44,000 for our services, this year we hope to raise even more in our 4-day Pilgrimage weekend! For individuals wanting a target or an extra challenge, we are suggesting a target of £300, this could fund one person into employment, so they can leave the streets behind them for good.

Registrations are now open! and will be closed on Friday 1st May 2026.
– Registration Fee: £55 per day.
– ‘Early Bird*’ Reduced registration fee @ £48 per day is available if you register before Friday 13th March 2026. Places are limited to 20 walkers. is now full.
– Concessions @ £32 per day are limited to 20 walkers, on a first-come, first-served basis. Concession rates are only for walkers with low incomes or financial support and are subsidised by The Connection.
